This course is designed for injectors that have treated at least 300 patients and have 3 or more years of experience. This course is open to advanced level practitioners, including physicians (MDs, DOs), international healthcare professionals, nurses (NPs, RNs), physician assistants (PAs, PA-Cs), and Dentists (DDS).
*License number is required. Participants from out of state or from a foreign country, won’t be able to engage in any hands-on activities but will be able to watch and learn from the experience.
Objectives
In depth overview of Neurotoxins (mechanism of action, dosing, precautions, adverse events and contraindications, current FDA approved neurotoxins) and Dermal Fillers (types and their mechanism of action, rheology or composition, appropriate use of each type, contraindications and adverse events, precautions, and comparisons between products)
Patient consultations include:
- In depth anatomy review and danger zones
- Physiologic and pathophysiologic evaluation
- Facial assessment by analyzing the upper, mid and lower third of the face
- Product selection and technique depending on the aesthetic goals.
- Discussion of body areas and identify opportunity to use both cannula and needle during the course
- A detailed understanding of facial aging
- Dilution used for all biostimulators done on the face and body with Sculptra and Radiesse.
- Combination treatments and selection of products for different outcomes.
- Description of advanced needle and cannula techniques for each procedure as well as demonstration and hands on activities for all the treatments.
- Thorough understanding of the layering and 4D approach (careful understanding of feminization and masculinization of the face to administer injections)
- Understanding of potential complications and treatment
